Murder mysteries to solve together

Lantern Files

One case. One phone each. One evening. Everyone gets a personal trail of clues. You read, argue and point out the culprit, each locking in an answer in secret, and it all comes out at once.

No app to download. A case takes about an hour.

Our first two cases are written in Swedish. English cases are in the works. Join the list and we will tell you when the first one is ready.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create a room

Pick a case and share the four-character code. Everyone joins from their own phone.

  2. 2

    Read your own trail

Everyone gets shared documents plus a personal trail that only you can see.

  3. 3

Talk it through and lock your answer

Discuss around the table. When you are ready, each of you secretly picks who, how and why.

  4. 4

    The reveal

All answers show at once. Scoring: 5 for who, 3 for how and 2 for why.

The cases right now

More are on the way. Both are in Swedish for now.

  • Dalarna, Sweden, 1998

    Midsommarnatten vid Örsjön

A tape, a jetty and twenty-eight years of silence.

  • Uppsala, Sweden, 1994

    Valborgsnatten på Roslags

An almanac, a vault and thirty-two years of silence.

Get told when the next case is ready

We only email when a new case is out. Nothing else.
